- Fantasy Novel by Cornelia Funke
Inkheart takes you through a journey of books, fantasy, villians and heroes. Meggie has never lived with anyone but Mo, her father. When she was three, 10 years ago, Mo read aloud to her and Resa (Meggie's mother). As Mo was reading, his voice charmed the book and it let out three characters, Capricorn, Basta and Dustfinger. In return, it swallowed up Resa, and she hasn't been since. Now, after 10 long years, the Fokhart family is being drawn back together by danger, fire and excitement. What will become of them? This book can be found at numerous libraries around the country and in our EHS library.

We have three book reviews to share with you from Yasmine, Chris and Zoe from G4:-
The book I am reviewing is called "Indigo Blue". This book is all about a girl called Indigo. Her three year old half-sister is Misti. Max, Indie's Step-Dad and her Mum have been fighting recently and one day they move into a musty, dark basement flat. Indie's Mum livens the place up a bit, but Indie's friend Joe starts turning on Indie and soon rumours spread about Indigo living in a torture chamber with no light and mould covering the walls. Will things work out for Indie and her family?

Recommended for: 8+ and anyone who likes books about friendship.

The Tale of Redwall - Martin the Warrior

Badrang the stoat has a dream of his own land, his own empire... a vision of supreme power and total domination. Only one thing can stop him; a young mouse call Martin. A mouse who refuses to bow down to a tyrant and who will fight for freedom at any cost.
Recommended for: I would recommend this book for people that like mystery and adventure.
Rating: I would rate this book 8 out of ten because it's interesting.

The Were-Nana (Not a Bedtime Story)

The Were-Nana is about a girl called Stella Rosa. She did not like her brother. Her old Nana Lupin was coming to visit and her brother kept telling her spooky stories about Nana Lupin. He managed to convince Stella that their Nana Lupin was a were-nana.

Welcome Back to the Library 2013
Yea! I'm so pleased to have the Library back this year. I have missed seeing the children. We have lovely new furniture and everyone was excited on the first day to come and see what the Library looked like. Take a look at some of the photos:-

Financial Literacy

I was working with B1, B2 and B3 yesterday and we were using the book "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds as it is Dot Day tomorrow. We had a lot of fun creating our own Dots with the app "Drawing Pad" on the IPads. The classes enjoyed the story and learnt that we all have a contribution to make and to keep trying. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. The Library Dragon had a lovely time on her holiday.
